Visit Finikia

Another incredible village on the island is Finikia, which stands out for its old-world charm and Greek authenticity. This perfectly well-preserved village in Santorini is only a few kilometres’ drive from the crowded city of Oia. It is also home to some incredible beaches and beautiful vineyards. Baxedon Beach and Sigala winery are the top attractions of the village.

Explore Monolithos

The coastal village of Monolithos is around 8 km east of Fira in Santorini. The village is home to less than 500 people. An offbeat place to visit in Santorini, the hamlet is named after a homonymous rock, on which the church of Agios Ioannis stands today. Monolithos is a small village but the destination features Santorini State Airport and the Tomato Industrial Museum.

Spend a day at Emporio

Also known as Nimborio, Emporio is the largest village on the island of Santorini with a very small population of around 1800 villagers. The whole village looks like a fairy castle! Set on the foothills of Prophet Elias, this village has the most romantic setting in Greece. The Tower of Goula and Kastelli are some of the prominent places to visit here.

Oia is one of the most photographed villages in Santorini. The place is renowned for its magical sunset views and romantic cave houses. There are several pretty beachside cafes and boutiques where one can shop for traditional Greek items. Adventure junkies can also enjoy cliff-diving here.

Another beautiful village in Santorini is Pyrgos. The stunning village, with a population of 732, is among the five inhabited castles of the island.
